Zucchini Doughnuts (Gogosi cu Dovlecel)

This is a summer delight! A very quick dessert that brings out the zucchini sweetness.

Zucchini Doughnuts

Ingredients (for about 20 doughnuts):

  • 2 medium zucchini – washed, grated and drained (no need to peel the zucchini)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 TBSP sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Oil for frying
  • Powder sugar


  • Put oil in a frying pan and heat
  • In a bowl, mix all ingredients together (except for the oil and powder sugar)
  • Spoon the dough gently in the jot oil and fry about 1-2 minutes on each side
  • Drain on a paper tower and sprinkle powder sugar on top
