Penne Pasta with White Wine & Garlic Sauce

This is a quick Pasta Sauce recipe that you can make with any leftover meat you have – grilled, broiled, pan-broiled, roasted – chicken, beef, pork, turkey, pancetta, ham. We tried it all and it works very well.



  • 17 oz penne pasta cooked according to the packaging
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cups finely chopped meat (pre-cooked)
  • 1 cup diced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 TBSP pesto
  • 1 cup grated cheese


  • In a saucepan heat the oil over medium heat
  • Saute garlic and onion
  • Add the mushrooms and the meat and let it cook for 2-3 minutes while stirring
  • Add 1 cup water and bring to a boil
  • Add wine and let everything cook for 5-7 minutes
  • Add Pesto and heavy cream and let it cook for 5 minutes
  • Remove from heat and add cheese
  • Pour sauce over pasta and enjoy!
