
Penne Pasta with White Wine & Garlic Sauce
This is a quick Pasta Sauce recipe that you can make with any leftover meat you have – grilled, broiled, pan-broiled, roasted – chicken, beef, pork, turkey, pancetta, ham. We tried it all and it works very well.
Ingredients:
- 17 oz penne pasta cooked according to the packaging
- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 cups finely chopped meat (pre-cooked)
- 1 cup diced mushrooms
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 TBSP pesto
- 1 cup grated cheese
Directions:
- In a saucepan heat the oil over medium heat
- Saute garlic and onion
- Add the mushrooms and the meat and let it cook for 2-3 minutes while stirring
- Add 1 cup water and bring to a boil
- Add wine and let everything cook for 5-7 minutes
- Add Pesto and heavy cream and let it cook for 5 minutes
- Remove from heat and add cheese
- Pour sauce over pasta and enjoy!
