Moldova – the Wine Country

Moldova is situated in Eastern Europe, between Romania and Ukraine. Although the country is very small it has a rich history.

Two of the most famous touristic attractions in Moldova are the longest underground Wine Cellars in the world – Milestii Mici (200 km of galleries of which 50 km are used) and Cricova (120 km).

Milestii Mici is also known for having the largest collection of wine in the world – over two million bottles of wine. Here are some pictures that one of our readers sent, I hope I’ll get to visit these impressive underground wine cellars.
