Grilled Salmon

Grilled Salmon is one of my favorite dishes of the grill. When seasoning the salmon feel free to play with the spices and fresh herbs. No exact quantities on this recipe as they depend on the size of the fish and your taste buds. If you prefer more herbs, add more herbs; if you like garlic, add more garlic. Be careful with the wine and lemon juice, don’t put too much as you need to wrap the salmon in the aluminum foil without spilling the juices. Usually I serve the grilled salmon with rice and potatoes.

Grilled SalmonIngredients:

  • Salmon Filet with the skin on
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • White Wine
  • Fresh Parsley
  • Lemon Juice & few lemon slices
  • Minced garlic


  • Fire up the grill and allow to heat
  • Brush olive oil on both sides of the salmon and season with salt, pepper, and parsley
  • Place salmon skin side down on a heavy duty aluminum foil (make sure the foil is big enough to be able to wrap the fish )
  • Add wine and lemon juice
  • Wrap the salmon in the aluminum foil and place it on the grill and cook it for about 15-20 minutes
  • Open the salmon pocket while still on the grill and add the garlic, lemon slices and a little more wine
  • Cook for 5-10 more minutes, i usually check the salmon with a fork to see if it’s done – insert the fork in the thickest part of the fillet, if you can separate the flakes the fish is cooked. Be careful not to overcook the fish as it will be dry
